“PAUL’S METHOD OF SUCCESS”
Philippians 3:7 – 14 It seems in our world today SUCCESS has become a driving force of human life in so much it has become a detailed study – from self-help seminars, to multi-level marketing schemes, to the yuppie mentality. Many of our churches today have copied the world’s programs in hopes of MARKETING the church. However, instead of employing such worldly methods we should copy the lives and methods of successful Biblical examples. What was Paul’s method of success?
1. VALUES OF SIGNIFICANCE V. 7-11  Paul kept his attention on important things. Earthly things were of no VALUE.
2. VIEW OF SELF V. 12 – 13            Galatians 6:3; Romans 12:3; Proverbs 25: 27
3. VICTORY OVER SINS PAST V. 13          Luke 9:62; Acts 8:3; Acts 9:1; Rev. 1:5
4. VISION FOR SERVICE V. 13-14: II Timothy 4:7; Hebrews 3:1; I Thessalonians 1:9, 10; I Thessalonians 4:17

“THREE WAKE-UP CALLS”
Isaiah 51:1-52:15 Many think we need revival in America. No doubt, this is very true. However, could it be that we need something more than revival? Could it be that we need an “AWAKENING” in America and the world? We find three “wake-up” calls mentioned in the Book of Isaiah which we would do well to read, learn and follow. The word “AWAKE” in Isaiah 51 & 52 means just what it says. It means …. “to open the eyes; to wake-up; to lift one’s self; to rise; to stir-up self.”
1. We need to Wake-Up to ------ The REALITY of God’s PRESENCE 51:9-16
2. We need to Wake-Up to ------ The REBUKE of God’s PUNISHMENT 51:17-23
3. We need to Wake-Up to -------The REDEMPTION of God’s PEOPLE 52:1-15
We need not choose evil; we have only to fail to choose good, and we drift fast enough toward evil. May God help us to choose to WAKE-UP while there is TIME!!!

“GOING A LITTLE FARTHER”
Matthew 26:36 – 46 V. 39  Even Jesus had to get His attitude right to do the will of God. Most of the time we are very loose when it comes to doing God’s will. He is usually the last one we talk to (if at all) when it comes to making a decision in life. There are some things we can do to get our attitude on the right track to find and do the will of God.
1. We see an attitude of PERSONAL PREFERENCE ----- V. 39
    Our Father knows our frame and He knows we have a preference. He understands. He will not ask us to do something we  cannot do. He will always help us “go a little farther.”
2. We see an attitude of PERSISTENT PRAYER ------ V. 36, 39, 42, 44
    V. 42 ----- “Again.” God help us to be persistent praying people. Jesus saw the need to pray three times. Sometimes we quit  praying too soon, just before the answer comes. We need to be persistent in our prayers if we are to go a little farther.
3. We see an attitude of PREVAILING PEACE ------- V. 45 & 46
    Jesus knew what to do when He was willing to “go a little farther.” The Father will always make His will clear when we are willing to “go a little farther.” We can never separate PERSISTENT PRAYER and PREVAILING PEACE.
    Key thought ------- “Nevertheless.” We won’t find the will of God and go farther unless we are willing to say “Nevertheless.”

“WHY WE LABOR”
II Corinthians 5:6 – 21 V. 9.  God wants His children to labor for Him (Luke 10:2). The harvest is white and He needs laborers to get the Gospel message out to a lost world. So often His children get so busy with living life and going about our daily routine that we let His work go lacking. He saves us to serve Him. Our text gives us three (3) Bible reasons “Why We Labor.”
1. Because of the TRIBUNAL WE MUST FACE ……………………….. V. 10
    The Bible promises that all believers must stand before the “Judgment Seat of Christ” to give an account for how we have served the Lord in this life. Our works, whether good or bad, will be reviewed.
2. Because of the TERROR WE FEAR …………………………………… V. 11
    Anyone we don’t tell about the Savior will surely spend eternity in hell fire.
3. Because of the TOUCH WE FEEL ……………………………………... V.14
    His love for us should cause us to feel grateful to Him. Our love for Him should cause us to feel like serving Him .
